2015 Giant Christmas Tree at CCP
Christmas season in the Philippines is never complete without the yuletide display. This 2015, a partnership with CCP and Omni was formed to support the annual nativity event of San Fernando craftsmen entitled “Parul Sampernandu”. The objective of the partnership is to promote energy conservation by using new technology in lighting and to introduce the use of LED to local craftsmen. The project also became a part of the beautification of CCP Complex for APEC as mandated by APEC National Organizing Committee. Along with the San Fernando lanterns, a giant Christmas Tree was created to light up Liwasang Asean.
Omni Giant Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Liwasang ASEAN CCP , Manila
The Christmas displays were lit using environment-friendly OMNI LED and were inaugurated in a special lighting ceremony last November 12, 2015 at the Liwasang Asean and CCP Main Ramp. During the program, renditions of Christmas carols and medleys were performed by the Phil. Harmonic Orchestra Brass Ensemble and Madrigal Singers. An Excerpt from the well-loved Christmas story “The Nutcracker” was also staged by the Philippine Ballet Theater Dancers.
The Christmas lighting ceremony was hosted by DJ Sam-Oh and witnessed by VIPs, guests, and spectators who joined the momentous event.
